(The "Great Anomaly")
Status: Unexplained / Transient Phenomenon
The Observation: A glowing, spherical orb of light (usually red, orange, or blue) that appears during thunderstorms.
The Behavior: Unlike a standard lightning bolt which lasts milliseconds, Ball Lightning floats, hovers, or travels horizontally for several seconds to over a minute.
Mobility: It has been reported to move against the wind, pass through closed windows, and travel down chimneys.
The End: It typically vanishes either silently or with a violent explosion, often leaving behind a sharp smell of Sulfur or Ozone.
The Leading Theories: Since it is too rare to study in a lab, physicists are still debating what it is.
Theory A (The "Dirt Clod"): Lightning strikes soil, vaporizing the silica (sand). The silicon vapor condenses into a floating sphere of burning nanodust.
Theory B (The Soliton): A self-reinforcing "packet" of trapped electromagnetic waves (Microwaves) that creates a bubble of plasma.
The FieroGlow Connection: Our TICP (Toroidally Inductively Coupled Plasma) technology is effectively a "Bottle" for this phenomenon. By using Class-E RF Drivers, we generate the same high-frequency electromagnetic fields predicted in "Theory B," trapping a stable ring of plasma inside the glass. While natural ball lightning wanders freely, ours is tamed by the geometry of the flask.

While our fields bottle the energy, the matter inside behaves exactly like the nanodust in Theory A. On a microscopic level, these charged dust particles interact to create a highly structured, self-organizing plasma. It moves, flows, and reacts in ways that seem almost intelligent—mimicking the eerie, purposeful autonomy of natural ball lightning.
