FIEROGLOW LLC PLASMA PROJECTS

Project 01: Next-Generation Cold Plasma Tokamak Demonstration

Project 01: Next-Generation Cold Plasma Tokamak Demonstration

Client / Partner Context: Commonwealth Fusion Systems (CFS) Research & Marketing

Role: Technical Logistics Liaison, Component Sourcing & Circuitry Integration Lead

Overview

To support the public and technical demonstration of cold plasma tokamak dynamics for Commonwealth Fusion Systems, FieroGlow facilitated the critical procurement, international logistics, and circuit architecture integration for a functional lobby-scale tokamak prototype.

Key Contributions & Technical Milestones

  • Rapid Hardware Logistics: Expedited the international sourcing and customs clearance of high-frequency, Class E resonant inverter circuitry from international specialists (Zerg Labs), accelerating the research and marketing team's delivery timeline.

  • Engineering Network Integration: Connected the project with top-tier independent electrical engineering expertise specializing in Toroidal Inductively Coupled Plasma (TICOP) systems.

  • Circuit Evolution: Facilitated the integration of a single-MOSFET Class E TICOP architecture—a design lineage drawing from historic late-19th-century circuit fundamentals, modernized through open-source innovations (including auto-ignition sensor integration) and refined by engineering collaborator Edwin Chiu.

  • Cross-Disciplinary Coordination: Engaged with industry legend Dr. Wayne Stratman and high-vacuum glass fabrication partners to bridge advanced RF plasma electronics with custom precision glassware.

  • Full-Circle Asset Acquisition: Secured the primary prototype Class E driver circuit into the permanent FieroGlow research library, donated to support ongoing independent glass doping and electrodeless plasma research.

Impact

This project served as the primary catalyst for FieroGlow LLC, proving that high-frequency resonant plasma circuitry could be successfully scaled, safely deployed, and utilized to communicate the future of clean energy and fusion technology to the world.

Project 01: Next-Generation Cold Plasma Tokamak Demonstration

The Mission: To engineer, source, and assemble a lobby-scale cold plasma tokamak prototype capable of demonstrating the principles of commercial fusion energy through a Toroidal Inductively Coupled Plasma (TICP) discharge.

The Project Syndicate

This demonstration was made possible through the collaboration of a global network of specialized engineering, glass fabrication, and high-frequency circuit design pioneers.

  • The Client & Visionary: Commonwealth Fusion Systems (cfs.energy)

    • Role: Primary client and project initiator.

    • Contribution: Driving the demand for a physical, scaled demonstration of tokamak dynamics to communicate the future of clean, commercial fusion energy to the public and stakeholders.

  • Precision Glass Architecture: Stratman Design (Dr. Wayne Stratman)

    • Role: Lead Glass Engineering.

    • Contribution: Designing and blowing the bespoke, high-vacuum containment vessels required to safely house and shape the raw energy of the plasma field.

  • Core Resonant Circuitry: Zerg Labs

    • Role: Class E TICOP Architecture Providers.

    • Contribution: Supplying the foundational high-frequency resonant inverter hardware—specifically the "BagelGem" architecture. This single-MOSFET design, rooted in 1880s circuit fundamentals, provided the robust, high-value RF backbone necessary to strike the plasma.

  • Electrical Engineering & Iteration: Edwin Chiu (Inception EV)

    • Role: Independent Lead Electrical Engineer.

    • Contribution: Evolving the original circuitry through its sixth iteration. Edwin integrated critical modernizations, including an auto-igniter and sensor package (incorporating designs from SkyGuided), successfully scaling the single-MOSFET architecture for stable, continuous demonstration.

  • Logistics & Integration: FieroGlow LLC

    • Role: Technical Logistics Liaison & Project Catalyst.

    • Contribution: Fast-tracking the international procurement and import of the high-value Zerg Labs hardware into the United States. FieroGlow served as the critical bridge, introducing the independent engineering talent to the CFS team and facilitating the fusion of Russian RF electronics with American glass craftsmanship.

Project Legacy

Beyond successfully delivering the demonstration hardware for the CFS lobby, this project served as the genesis for FieroGlow LLC. Upon completion, the primary prototype Class E driver circuit was donated back to FieroGlow, funded by a collaborative exchange between CFS and Inception EV. This exact circuit now serves as the permanent research backbone for FieroGlow’s ongoing independent electrodeless plasma development.

This project served as the primary catalyst for FieroGlow LLC, proving that high-frequency resonant plasma circuitry could be successfully scaled, safely deployed, and utilized to communicate the future of clean energy and fusion technology to the world.

SAFETY  & REGULATORY DISCLAIMER

Not a Consumer Toy: FieroGlow apparatus are classified as High-Voltage Scientific Display Devices intended for educational, artistic, and demonstration use only. They are not standard consumer luminaires.

RF Interference: These devices utilize Toroidal Inductively Coupled Plasma (TICP) technology which operates at radio frequencies. While shielded, they may generate RF interference in strict accordance with the laws of physics. Use away from sensitive medical equipment or unshielded electronics.

Thermal Warning: Glass surfaces may reach temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C) during prolonged operation. Always use the provided FieroGlow Thermal Wool Interface or approved insulated gloves, safety handling equipment & bases. Never touch the unshielded discharge coils and follow glass contact safety  while active.

Modification: Opening the base or altering the driver circuit voids all safety certifications and may present an electrical shock hazard.

Optical Safety: Respect the Photon. While most noble gases (Krypton, Argon) are soft on the eyes, our Metal Halide and High-Energy Salt flasks are different. They produce High-Intensity Discharge (HID) flares that can temporarily blind or fatigue the naked eye.
