FIEROGLOW LLC PLASMA PROJECTS

Project 08: The Plasma Peace Project

"Warriors for Peace"

Project 08: The Plasma Peace Project

"Warriors for Peace"

Quick Outline

  • Project Focus: Merging the Plasma Peace Project architecture with fine art to recognize individuals who dedicated their lives to peaceful safety and service.

  • Thematic Initiative: "Warriors for Peace" — an ongoing tribute to military personnel, law enforcement, EMTs, and firefighters.

  • Inaugural Honoree: Ernie Lee Fournet (1949–2019), Artist, U.S. Army Special Forces Medic, and S.W.A.T. Commander.

  • Featured Artwork: Mine is Bigger Than Yours (Contemporary Realism).

  • Core Concept: "Dare to see art in a different light."

The Vision: "Warriors for Peace"

The core mission of the Plasma Peace Project is to utilize high-voltage science for educational and peaceful purposes. To ground this hardware in human experience, FieroGloW has launched the "Warriors for Peace" initiative.

This ongoing project seeks to recognize and illuminate the dual lives of individuals who have participated in the intense, often chaotic reality of maintaining public safety—military veterans, law enforcement officers, EMTs, and firefighters—who also possess a profound dedication to peace and community. By projecting our electrodeless plasma technologies onto their artistic and cultural contributions, we aim to recontextualize their narratives.

The Inaugural Honoree:

 Ernie Lee Fournet

To launch this initiative, FieroGloW selected Mine is Bigger Than Yours, a compelling anti-war piece by the late Louisiana artist Ernie Lee Fournet.

The Inaugural Honoree:

Ernie Lee Fournet

To launch this initiative, FieroGloW selected Mine is Bigger Than Yours, a compelling anti-war piece by the late Louisiana artist Ernie Lee Fournet.

Fournet is the quintessential "Warrior for Peace." A former student of Dr. Gloria K. Fiero at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, his life was defined by a profound duality. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served as a Special Forces Medic, and later spent nearly 30 years in law enforcement, commanding S.W.A.T. teams in Baton Rouge and New Iberia. As a contemporary realist artist, Fournet utilized freehand airbrushing, graphite, and colored pencils to explore the visceral tensions, authority, and the heavy human elements of conflict he witnessed firsthand.

The Installation: Dare to See Art in a Different Light

The installation of Mine is Bigger Than Yours serves as both a physical demonstration of FieroGloW's custom plasma engineering and a philosophical challenge: Dare to see art in a different light.

Standard broad-spectrum gallery lighting casts a uniform wash over an image, locking its emotional state into a single perspective. For this installation, FieroGloW utilized a custom-doped Toroidal Inductively Coupled Plasma (TICP) orb, positioned to cast its RF-driven discharge directly across Fournet's monochrome tactical figures.

Because the plasma hardware utilizes exotic noble gas mixtures, it emits highly precise, narrow-band spectral signatures. As the underlying circuit drives these gases through varying states of excitation, the frequencies of light washing across the canvas physically shift.

  • Under high-frequency, cold cyan and blue spectral bands, the tactical figures take on a clinical, stark atmosphere.

  • As the plasma transitions into warmer, chaotic orange and yellow discharges, specific pigments vibrate and the scene assumes the visual weight of an active conflict zone.

The custom-doped plasma flask ceases to be a mere light source; it becomes an active interpretive lens. It illuminates the intense art of living—shifting continuously between moments of profound peace and sudden intensity—perfectly framing the legacy of a man who dedicated his life to standing between the two.

SAFETY  & REGULATORY DISCLAIMER

Not a Consumer Toy: FieroGlow apparatus are classified as High-Voltage Scientific Display Devices intended for educational, artistic, and demonstration use only. They are not standard consumer luminaires.

RF Interference: These devices utilize Toroidal Inductively Coupled Plasma (TICP) technology which operates at radio frequencies. While shielded, they may generate RF interference in strict accordance with the laws of physics. Use away from sensitive medical equipment or unshielded electronics.

Thermal Warning: Glass surfaces may reach temperatures exceeding 140°F (60°C) during prolonged operation. Always use the provided FieroGlow Thermal Wool Interface or approved insulated gloves, safety handling equipment & bases. Never touch the unshielded discharge coils and follow glass contact safety  while active.

Modification: Opening the base or altering the driver circuit voids all safety certifications and may present an electrical shock hazard.

Optical Safety: Respect the Photon. While most noble gases (Krypton, Argon) are soft on the eyes, our Metal Halide and High-Energy Salt flasks are different. They produce High-Intensity Discharge (HID) flares that can temporarily blind or fatigue the naked eye.
